JazzNL 'Gateway to Global Jazz'
The JazzNL event strives for connecting jazz networks worldwide and bring more discussions, dynamics and development to the global Jazz network. We provide for all participants the possibility to present upcoming artists. In cooperation with the International Jazz Festival Alliance Foundation and their international partners we present an extensive global talent development program.
For artists with international potential JazzNL facilitates a four-day program with showcases for professionals, public and media performances, music blends and encounters with other (international) artists. (Artists are only selected for the showcase when they get an introduction by there participanting business professional)
During the 35th aniversary of the Amersfoort Jazz festival in 2014 JazzNL will host the next edition of the by-annual 'Gateway to Global Jazz' conference and showcase event. Once more the by-annual European summit of the International Jazz Festival Alliance Foundation (IJFAF) will take place. The IJFAF network already has more than 50 partners worldwide and is expanding rapidly. The focus of the IJFAF meeting this time will be talent development in a global context. Also topics like economic value of festivals, knowledge sharing, jazz travels, city marketing and joint promotion will be up for discussing.
JazzNL invites a large group of interesting stakeholders, programmers, festival directors, media, records companies and officials for this years conference. JazzNL will also host speed dates with interesting partners for foreign delegations and individual participants. Showcases are open public and free of charge. The event is organised parallel to the Amersfoort International Jazz Festival
